Listening, learning and looking ahead
At AIM, we are always looking for ways to ensure our qualifications continue to meet the needs of learners, employers and providers. That is why we have begun a comprehensive review of our qualification portfolio, helping us shape future developments and ensure we continue to offer programmes that make a real difference.
Over the past few months, we have been speaking with colleges, training providers, employers and regional skills organisations across England to understand what is changing and where future opportunities lie. These conversations have provided valuable insight into emerging skills needs, workforce priorities and the challenges facing education and training providers.
A number of common themes have started to emerge. From artificial intelligence and digital skills to sustainability, clean energy and employer-led learning, organisations are looking for programmes that reflect the realities of today’s workplace while supporting progression and long-term career development.
We are also seeing growing interest in more flexible learning pathways, including qualifications that support progression from entry-level learning, create clearer routes into employment and provide opportunities for learners to build skills over time.
The skills landscape is changing rapidly, and it is important that qualifications evolve alongside it. Through our conversations with providers, employers and regional partners, we are gaining valuable insight into the skills that will be needed in the future. This review is about making sure our portfolio continues to support learner success while helping providers respond to emerging opportunities and workforce demand.
Faye Moore, Head of Regional Management and Apprenticeships
The review will help us identify opportunities to enhance existing qualifications, explore new areas of development and ensure our portfolio continues to respond to the needs of the sectors and communities we serve.
As always, our approach is shaped by collaboration. By listening to customers, employers and stakeholders, we can make informed decisions that support learner success and help providers deliver programmes that matter.
We look forward to sharing more information about the review and future developments in the months ahead. If you would like to be involved or contribute to the conversation, contact marketing@aimgroup.org.uk
