Celebrating Success in Access to HE

AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is proud of the part it plays to support the development and delivery of Access to HE Diplomas by AIM recognised centres. Every year we celebrate the achievement of learners through a local and a national competition: The Brian May Awards and the Keith Fletcher Awards.

“These diplomas aren’t easy. It takes determination, dedication and a lot of hard work, but the results can be life changing. They bring not just hope of a new career, but often realise dreams and aspirations that many had thought were out of their reach.”
Kevern Kerswell, AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group CEO

Brian May Awards

The Brian May Awards celebrate Access to Higher Education learners from AIM Access to HE Centres. The awards launched in 2019 in memory of Brian May, a dear colleague who dedicated many years of his life to improving the delivery of the Access to HE Diploma. Since then, over 145 learners have received an award within one of the two categories: Outstanding Academic Achievement or Outstanding Commitment to Study.
