Production managers take responsibility for all the organisational aspects of production schedule and or budget. They can work across all genres in film, television, commercials, VFX, post-production, animation, audio and live performance and live event production.
Their role in production is to support the realisation of the creative team’s vision. They have responsibility for the practicalities of running a production; including the preparation of production documentation, managing the productions resources and compliance with legislation and industry standards.
The length of this apprenticeship is typically 18 months.
Been on programme/in-learning for at least six months
Employer confirmation that the apprentice is ready to undertake their apprenticeship assessment
Submitted and had approved, a project proposal
AM1 – Project: Delivery of a 45 minute presentation to an AIM Assessor, based on a work-based project.
AM2 – Question and Answer: A 30 minute questioning session with an AIM Assessor, based on the outcome of AM1.
AM3 – Professional Discussion: A 60 minute discussion with an AIM Assessor, based on apprentices in-learning journey.
Learners have six weeks from the agreed assessment start date to submit their presentation based on a work-based project. Following submission, and after a minimum period of two weeks, they will complete the remaining assessment methods
