Audiovisual technicians work in a multitude of sectors in fixed site-specific roles and on touring events. They will interact with other members of their own team as well as a large number of internal/external clients who require AV infrastructure / support including, but not limited to: videoconferencing, hybrid events, sound, lighting, projection and computer networking.
This role provides professional solutions for communication by planning, installing, configuring and operating AV hardware and/or software. Depending on the context, this role may require a range of working patterns, including standard office working hours and shift work for events.
The length of this apprenticeship is typically 24 months.
*this only applies to apprentices aged 16-18 at the start of their apprenticeship training. For apprentices aged 19+ at the start of their apprenticeship training, achieving L2 English and maths is not mandatory.
The assessment will be completed within a period lasting typically three months, starting when AIM has confirmed that all gateway requirements have been met.
