This qualification enables learners to develop the knowledge, skills and competence required to carry out Domestic Energy Assessments and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing dwellings. The AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment has been developed in collaboration with industry specialists and is aligned with current sector requirements and standards for Domestic Energy Assessors.
This qualification is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to undertake Domestic Energy Assessments and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing dwellings. Learners will develop an understanding of domestic building construction, energy efficiency measures, data collection requirements and the principles of energy assessment. The qualification is suitable for individuals seeking to become qualified Domestic Energy Assessors, as well as those already working within the housing, construction, retrofit or energy efficiency sectors. It prepares learners for employment as a Domestic Energy Assessor and supports progression to further study and professional development within the energy efficiency and retrofit industries.

AIM Qualifications Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit
The qualification is useful for those in trades where retrofit is directly applicable for example, plasterer, heat pump installer or solar panel installer or as an introduction for those wishing to pursue a career in domestic retrofit advice or co-ordination.
AIM Qualifications Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
The qualification enables learners to meet the requirements of the Retrofit industry standard PAS 2035 and includes practical property assessments to ensure competency.
AIM Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
To train and qualify a cadre of retrofit Coordinators capable of managing domestic retrofit projects in accordance with the requirements of PAS 2035, with a focus on construction site managers, project managers, site managers and assistant site managers.
AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Retrofit Advice
This qualification has been designed to provide the underpinning theory and practical skills to allow learners to move into the role of Retrofit Advisor.
