The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with a higher-level knowledge of small animal hydrotherapy. Learners will have an introduction to canine laser therapy and small animal physiotherapy.
Learners will develop a deeper understanding of Small Animal Massage and gain higher level of knowledge in anatomy and physiology. They will gain the knowledge to be able to establish and manage a hydrotherapy business. Learners will also develop a deeper understanding of pool operations and water management in hydrotherapy centres.
Learners will have completed an industry recognised Level 3 Diploma qualification in small animal hydrotherapy.
This qualification will enable learners to progress onto the AIM Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Small Animal Rehabilitation Practitioner. It will also support progression directly into higher level employment as a veterinary hydrotherapist or centre manager, or further study including veterinary physiotherapy and rehabilitation of small animals.
