This qualification has been developed to give learners information about feline health, care, behaviour and welfare. The qualification is suitable for meeting the higher standard for licensing catteries following the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018.
Learners will develop a broad range of knowledge on feline care, from care of felines in catteries to evolutionary development of felines, and feline nutrition.
This qualification can be used to enable learners to gain the knowledge to obtain employment in organisations providing feline care, behaviour and welfare. It will also enable progression to further study within this subject area, including progression to higher education including Animal Welfare and Animal Science qualifications. Learners may also progress to the higher standard of licensing in catteries.
