This qualification has been designed to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to be able to work with animals providing Animal Assisted Interventions and Animal Assisted Therapies to a range of groups and individuals with varying degrees of physical and mental disabilities and impairments.
With units covering the History of Animal Intervention, the Use of Animal Intervention and the Legal Requirements, learners will be equipped to be employed in animal assisted intervention roles, or to work for themselves providing services direct to clients.
Learners may progress to higher level qualifications in animal and/or canine care or may progress directly into employment.
