AIM Qualifications Level 1 Certificate Visual Art

The qualification provides a platform for progression and enables the development of generic transferable skills.

This qualification is designed to prepare individuals to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding. It will prepare learners for employment in the Arts and increase their technical skills and knowledge in Visual Art.

To be awarded the AIM Qualifications Level 1 Certificate in Visual Art, learners must achieve:

• 15 credits

Quality Assurance Requirements

Tutors:

To offer this qualification, centres must ensure that tutors hold or are working towards:

• Teaching qualification.
• Qualification or experience of working in Visual Art.

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA):

Centres must also ensure that they have in place an Internal Quality Assurance person who:

• Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent.
• Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in the Visual Arts.
• Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer.
