This qualification is designed to support learners who are returning to study, to help them to develop the study and learning skills required to progress onto Level 3 courses in areas related to Health.
The qualification focuses on study skills, literacy and numeracy and personal development and includes optional units that offer learners a taste of subject areas in health that they may go on to
study.
Achievement of the Skills for Further Study in Health qualification will demonstrate that learners are able to study for a sustained period at an appropriate level. It is anticipated that this would optimise achievement on a course to which the learners may progress.
This qualification has been designed to enable learners to:
Learners who achieve the AIM Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Further Study in Health, will be able to progress to Level 3 courses, for example, Access to Higher Education Diplomas.
It is a requirement that assessment of this qualification is conducted in English.
