The AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Christian Leadership provides the opportunity for learners to develop practical leadership skills, and a body of theoretical knowledge for use in a Christian context. The qualification comprises a range of units, enabling providers to create courses that satisfy the rules of combination and meet the needs of learners in different contexts.

 

The qualification will meet the needs of anyone over the age of 16 years who aspires to take a leadership role in the community, and particularly in a Christian context. This could include groups from regional and national organisations, for example denominational groups such as the Baptist Church, Youth Work groups, CAP debt agency, Food Bank.

 

 

The qualification can prepare individuals to progress to higher level studies in Christian Leadership. It can also prepare learners for employment in a support role within the workplace and encourage engagement in future learning. It has been designed to enable learners to take pro-active leadership roles in the community and actively increase the confidence, knowledge and ability levels in the communities in which they work.

To be awarded the AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Christian Leadership, learners must achieve:

  • 3 credits from the mandatory unit group
  • 12 credits from the optional group

Quality Assurance Requirements

Tutors:

To offer this qualification, centres must ensure that tutors hold or are working towards:

  • A level 3 qualification or above in Christian Leadership.
  • A UK recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification.
  • At least a year’s meaningful experience in working within Christian Leadership within the relevant communities and community-based activities

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA):

Centres must also ensure that they have in place an Internal Quality Assurance person who:

  • Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent.
  • Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in Christian Leadership.
  • Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer.
