The AIM Qualifications Level 1 Award in Understanding Pro-Social Modelling and Behaviours provides the learner with an awareness of behaviour and the effects of that behaviour on themselves and others.
This qualification is primarily aimed at learners who have displayed or those in danger of displaying anti-social and/or criminal behaviour, as it encourages learners to gain an understanding of different behaviours/attitudes and the impact and consequences they have on others.
Learners will be motivated to address behaviour, take responsibility, manage problems and serve as a good example to others. They will also have an opportunity to practice these skills and to consider barriers they may face when applying them. The improvement of personal behaviours and an increased understanding of the behaviour of others will enable learners to progress both academically and vocationally.
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills in order to change their lifestyles and to reduce the potential of offending and/or re-offending. On completion of the qualification, learners are therefore better placed to take up employment opportunities or to progress onto vocational qualifications within a learning environment.
