AIM Qualifications Level 2 Award in Understanding and Exploring Entrepreneurship

This qualification can be used flexibly to meet learner needs.

Depending on the context of the learning and the needs of each individual learner, the qualification can:

• prepare individuals to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding;
• prepare learners for employment;
• support a role in the workplace;
• encourage engagement in learning.

This qualification has been designed to enable learners to:

• gain an understanding of the characteristics and attributes of a successful entrepreneur;
• understand the skills, qualities and attitudes that are required to enable them to succeed;
• develop their own strengths and abilities as an enterprising person;
• understand how to develop their own confidence and self-esteem;
• understand the importance of motivation.

This qualification allows learners to understand and develop motivation and self-confidence, whilst exploring the qualities required to become a successful entrepreneur.

The qualification develops knowledge about the characteristics needed to become a successful entrepreneur and helps learners to explore ways to develop the skills, knowledge, qualities and attitudes required to succeed in business.

It also provides learners with the opportunity to explore the concept of motivation and to consider ways to develop their own confidence and self-esteem.
