This qualification has been designed to enable individuals to gain skills and knowledge to support the delivery of the National Curriculum through outdoor play and activities.
This qualification will support educational organisations, home educators, ranger services and others to offer outdoor learning and increase opportunities for the delivery of outdoor learning linked to National Curriculum subjects. Health and safety, integrating the school curriculum into the outdoors and practical tasks in the outdoors are key aspects of the qualifications.
Learners will be able to gain knowledge and skills on a range of chosen subjects from play work to gardening.
Learners who successfully complete the AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Outdoor Curriculum Co-ordination may move directlyinto teaching delivery of national curriculum subjects in outdoor settings.

AIM Qualifications Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles
The AIM Qualifications Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles provides learners with an introduction to the Forest School ethos and learning in the outdoors. It includes methods of identifying woodland species and how play can assist in Forest School activities.
AIM Qualifications Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants
The AIM Qualifications Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants provides learners with the skills required to support Forest School Leaders when supporting Forest School programmes.
AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Forest Kindergarten: Local Nature Play
The qualification is for people who understand the importance of play and the outdoors for children’s health and wellbeing and capacity to learn. Furthermore, giving children opportunities to experience nature is a prerequisite for care for nature.
AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate for Forest School Leaders
The AIM Qualifications Level 3 Certificate for Forest School Leaders provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to support individuals in Forest School programmes and outdoor learning.
