This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to produce digital designs and fabricate items from these designs, whilst working within any relevant health and safety guidelines.
They will be able to use software effectively to create unique digital designs, with a view to manufacture. They will also be able to fabricate a design using more than one machine or process. They will be able to apply an understanding of how 2D design can translate into a 3D object.
This qualification can be used as a stepping stone to employment or further study by enabling the development of specific vocational skills. This Level 2 qualification also provides learners with a seamless progression route from the Level 1 Award in Digital Fabrication.
