AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Advocacy for Working with Survivors of Sexual Violence

This qualification can be used flexibly to meet learner needs. Depending on the context of the learning and the needs of each individual learner, the qualification can:

• Prepare individuals to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding
• Prepare learners for employment
• Support a role in the workplace
• Encourage engagement in learning

This qualification has been designed to enable learners to:

• Provide advocacy to survivors of sexual violence
• Consider the effects on wellbeing of those working with sexual violence
• Provide support for children and young people who have experienced sexual violence;
• Carry out a risk assessment and safety planning when working with survivors of sexual violence
• Support survivors of sexual violence through the Criminal Justice System
• Gain skills to work with survivors of sexual violence

To be awarded the AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Advocacy for Working with Survivors of Sexual Violence, learners must achieve:

• 6 credits from the Level 3 units
