Trustee - Finance and Resource Committee (Senior Finance )

Board of Trustees
AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is seeking to appoint new Trustees who will offer the Board specific skills which have been identified as important to ensuring the continued effective governance of AIM. These key leadership posts are voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. AIM is a regulated Awarding Organisation. While a background in education is not essential, trustees should have a clear understanding of the role of an Awarding Organisation and the qualifications and services that AIM delivers together with enthusiasm, strategic insight and a clear commitment to AIM’s charitable objectives. Appointments will initially be for a term of three years from the agreed start date. The Committee meets at least three times each year.

For this role, you will need to demonstrate relevant experience and sound judgement, together with enthusiasm, strategic insight and a clear commitment to AIM’s charitable objectives. AIM is a regulated Awarding Organisation. While a background in education is not essential, trustees should have a clear understanding of the role of an Awarding Organisation and the qualifications and services that AIM delivers. Appointments will initially be for a term of three years from the agreed start date. The Committee meets at least three times each year.

Chair - Access and Compliance Committee

Board of Trustees
AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is seeking to appoint a Chair of its Access and Compliance Committee at an important point in the organisation’s development and regulatory oversight. The Access and Compliance Committee is a formal committee of the Board of Trustees and operates with delegated authority. It provides assurance to the Board on quality, standards, regulation and compliance across AIM’s regulated activities as an Awarding Organisation, Access Validating Agency and Apprenticeship Assessment Organisation. The Chair will lead the Committee and work closely with the Chair of the Board, the Responsible Officer and the CEO to ensure effective scrutiny, constructive challenge and robust assurance. The Chair reports to the Board of Trustees and ensures that the Committee fulfils its responsibilities in line with its approved Terms of Reference. The Committee meets at least three times each year. The Chair will also attend approximately four Board meetings annually.

Associate Internal Quality Assurer

We are recruiting Associate Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) to support quality assurance activity across our apprenticeship end-point assessment provision. This role involves quality assuring assessment decisions, feedback and evidence to ensure assessments are fair, valid, reliable and consistent.

Where to find us

Our head office is in Derby, a 15-minute walk from the train station and only a 13-minute drive from the M1. We also have an office in Wolverhampton in Pendeford Business Park (WV9) which can be found here.
