STANDARDISATION LIVE: IN PERSON SESSIONS

Participation will still be possible remotely.

WATCH THIS SPACE - WE WILL BE ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

As the AVA appreciates the value of centre staff being able to meet in person at events, a Summer Roadshow will be planned. This will focus on assignment planning and sharing of resources developed by the AVA for Centres. The event will provide opportunity for centres to share their experiences and good practice with each other.

BETTER TOGETHER: REGIONAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Centres expressed interest in networking opportunities with other centres allowing sharing of good practice and discussion of Access to HE relevant topics. This is already in place through a Community of Practice group in the Northeast. To support opportunities being accessible in the Midlands and South regions centres have been asked for feedback and thoughts to ensure opportunities are accessible for all. The AVA aim to schedule first meetings before Easter.

STRONGER LINKS WITH HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Further support from the AVA was requested with helping Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) understanding more about Access to HE and discovering what is current within HEIs e.g. changes in entrance requirements. The Access Officers will be liaising with key HEIs in their allocated regions and will share outcomes and information with centres and where necessary identify if any information leads to changes by the AVA to materials and support provided.
