About this qualification

This qualification is being withdrawn. The qualification will close for registrations on 30/09/2023. Learners will still have until 30/09/2026 to certificate.

The AIM Qualifications Entry Level Award in Managing Own Learning and Development is designed to support learners moving onto independent learning.

Objectives of the qualification

Learners will be able to identify and measure their skills and plan for further skills development. Learners will also explore learning environments to ensure that they understand how they learn best and can plan to develop their knowledge and skills, taking advantage of any information, advice, guidance and support available to them.

Rules of combination

Quality Assurance Requirements

Tutors:

To offer this qualification, centres must ensure that tutors hold or are working towards:

  • A Teaching qualification and experience of teaching.

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA):

Centres must also ensure that they have in place an Internal Quality Assurance person who:

  • Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent.
  • Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in Foundation Learning.
  • Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer.
