About this qualification

This qualification is being withdrawn. The qualification will close for registrations on 30/09/2023. Learners will still have until 30/09/2026 to certificate.

Learners will gain a Level 3 Award giving them the required knowledge of process serving processes, fully compliant with the civil procedure rules.

Objectives of the qualification

This qualification has been developed to provide the knowledge and understanding required to work as a Process Server within the Legal Sector.

Why choose this qualification

On successful completion of the Level 3 Award, learners may progress onto other Level 3 Certificate for the Enforcement Industry and they may apply for membership of relevant international process serving trade organisations.

Rules of combination

To be awarded the AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Process Serving, learners must achieve:

  • 6 credits
  • No optional units in this qualification

Quality Assurance Requirements

Tutors:

To offer this qualification, centres must ensure that tutors hold or are working towards:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 High Court Enforcement qualifications.
  • Level 3 Credit Management qualifications.
  • Level 3 Delivery of Conflict Management Training.
  • Must have at least 3 years proven front line operational experience in a Supervisory Position for Evictions and Trespasser Removal. This must all be from within the last 10 years and while you were in the UK.

Internal Quality Assurer (IQA):

Centres must also ensure that they have in place an Internal Quality Assurance person who:

  • Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent.
  • Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in Process Serving or High Court Enforcement.
  • Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer.
