Welcome to new and returning centres for 2024/25

As we embark on another academic year my overriding message is that you are our top priority. Our purpose is simple and our amazing team at AIM exists to support our stakeholders in all aspects of the delivery of our qualifications, assessments and services. We are honoured to work with you and we are proud of the impact we make together for the benefit of learners here in the UK and also further afield. My commitment to you is clear. We aspire to be the best Awarding Organisation (AO), End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and Access to Higher Education Validating Agency (AVA) that you work with.  During 2023/24 we have invested heavily in building for the future so that our service to you becomes even more responsive, personalised and supportive.

Partnerships make the difference 

Here at AIM we see every centre and stakeholder as a partner. We all have a role to play in ensuring that qualifications and services are delivered with integrity and we understand that the best way to achieve this is through working together. 

Our strategy is simple, we will continue to focus on working with like-minded, learner focussed organisations because we know that doing so delivers for learners.   

The values which drive the team at AIM forward are shared by our many partners and in 2023/24 we have delivered high quality teaching, learning and assessment in every corner of the UK and in many countries across the globe. 2024/25 is set to be even more impactful. 

Our commitment to centres, providers and learners 

In 2024/25 AIM will build on the foundations set in 2023/24 so that we can move ever closer to our aspiration that you will find no better AO, AVA or EPAO to work with.   

To deliver on such a target we will not accept anything that doesn’t place the needs of centres, providers or learners first. For example, in 2023/24 we decided that particular qualifications such as Access to Higher Education should no longer be delivered in a 100% online environment. It is our view that learners who are preparing for progression or higher education should have meaningful access to human support and to make this happen we moved all online Access provision to an innovative blended option that prioritises learner and practitioner support.   

We understand that our qualifications are part of a bigger learning programme and we will continue to play our part in enabling the highest possible standards of delivery. This delivery relies on the integrity of our qualifications and assessment. Over the past year we have delivered a huge programme of practitioner focussed professional development to support teaching and learning so that curriculum of all types meets the needs of learners, employers and other institutions. 

What’s next? 

September is my favourite point of the year as we take the opportunity to reflect on the exceptional standards of our partners, the impact of the AIM team and the difference we have made together. However, September is also a time for excitement about the future. It has been a monumental year and we look forward to supporting the UK government and the devolved administrations to deliver against their skills agenda’s.   

The team here at AIM are looking forward to sharing in the successes of our centres and to playing our part in creating life changing opportunities. In the coming weeks and months we will be sharing further exciting plans linked to our qualification portfolio, our EPA offer, international delivery and the ongoing strengthening of the services we provide to you.
