AIM supports Adult Learning Awards in Wales

AIM is pleased to be supporting the Inspire! Adult Learning Awards which celebrate the achievements of exceptional individuals, community projects and organisations in Wales who have shown outstanding passion, commitment and drive to improve themselves, their community or workplace through learning.

For some individuals, the first experience of education is not always positive, but many young people return to post-compulsory education because they want to make a positive change and build a better future. Some young people may not have been able to fully engage with school because of caring responsibilities or may have experienced disruption in their lives for other reasons. Learning is a journey that requires courage to embrace new challenges and the determination to overcome such obstacles. We have therefore chosen to sponsor the Young Adult Learner Award category at this year’s Inspire! Awards – the winner of which will be someone who has shown real commitment to their learning journey to empower their own future.

“We are delighted to be supporting this year’s Inspire! Adult Learning Awards which celebrates everything that is fantastic about adult learning in Wales - a country where adults enjoy a wide range of opportunities to thrive and gain new skills. It is important to remember that while we are celebrating exceptional learners we are also championing the incredible providers across Wales who make all of this possible.

“AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is fiercely proud of the part we play through our qualifications and services which help learners take the next step in their lives and empower futures.  Congratulations to every nominee and winner, and our thanks to all the providers and stakeholders who work so hard to create these opportunities.”

Kevern Kerswell, AIM Group CEO

Good luck to all shortlisted nominees and best wishes for the awards ceremony taking place on 14 September ahead of Adult Learners Week.
