Welcome from AIM CEO

The AIM qualifications portfolio empowers futures through enabling learners to use education as a tool for progress in their lives. To support our aspirations for learners we have established four strands to our overall offer. These are regulated qualifications, apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education and AIM Endorsed.

Qualification growth

Last year around 700 approved AIM providers made use of our dynamic range of qualifications and as a result we registered and awarded more regulated qualifications than at any point in our history. With vocationally focussed qualifications that target specific occupational areas we are proud of the part we are playing in supporting national agendas like net-zero, in developing the next wave of talent in the key industries, in supporting rehabilitative prison-based education, and in enabling the delivery of our English qualifications internationally.

EPA expansion

We are excited about the growing impact of our apprenticeship offer. Last year we delivered more end-point assessments than ever before and we have another year of exciting developments ahead. We are expanding into new sectors while growing our unique presence as a specialist End-Point Assessment Organisation in the creative, cultural and professional service industries.

Enabling access to higher education

AIM celebrates learning in all its forms. A value that runs deep in our organisation is ‘inclusion’ and we believe passionately that education should be open to everyone. While we offer a wide range of vocationally focussed qualifications and apprenticeships, we also celebrate the value of higher education.

We understand that not everyone has had the opportunity to go to university and it is for this reason that we prioritise Access to Higher Education. Over the past year we have operated with two QAA licences to offer Access to Higher Education through nearly 100 providers. From this September, all our Access provision will take place through just one AIM super-sized licence, which in our view, is already the very best AVA in the country, supported by a vast sector leading choice in diplomas and an expanded team in place to offer the highest levels of support.

Customised provision

In addition to our regulated offer we have developed a comprehensive AIM Endorsed range of accreditation so that AIM approved providers can enjoy customised assessment that meets their unique needs. We will develop this offer further over the coming months to build on the developments already in place.

Looking forward

2023-24 is shaping up to be our most exciting year yet. We are looking forward to our Empowering Futures Conference in November when we will be hearing from various thought leaders across the world of education and training and we will be celebrating the success of our approved providers and learners in the inaugural AIM Awards Ceremony. Please book your place at the conference now and be part of the celebrations.

We are privileged to be working with every AIM centre, stakeholder and partner. If we can improve what we do, please reach out and tell us. Our priority is simple, we want to empower futures and to achieve it we want to work with you. Get in touch with a member of our business development team to see how we can work together to emplower the futures of your learners.
