AIM Qualifications in Counselling Skills, levels 2 and 3, are now designated for teaching in Wales by Qualifications Wales
25 February 2020
AIM Qualifications’ Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Counselling Skills are currently delivered across the UK as part of a suit of professional vocational qualifications. The endorsement by Qualifications Wales means that these ‘designated qualifications’ can now be used as part of publicly funded programmes of learning for students under the age of 19 in Wales, so centres delivering the qualification are now able to access public funding for their enrolled learners.
AIM’s Counselling Qualifications suite
The designated counselling qualifications are part of a suite of AIM qualifications which are available from level 2 to level 6 for students at different stages of their counselling careers. The complete suite has been designed with professional counselling bodies’ requirements in mind, enabling the counsellor’s qualifications to be accredited by these professional bodies.
Learner development
AIM’s counselling qualifications allow learners to achieve more than a Pass at Level 3 and above. Learners are assessed using reflective learning techniques to encourage self-development. This method of self-development is common practice in the counselling industry, so learners and employers are familiar with the process.
Assessments already in place
A key benefit of delivering AIM’s Counselling qualifications is that that AIM has done all the hard work of developing the assignments. These are set up and ready to go, saving centres time and resource.
