Why Aspire chose AIM for Access to HE Diplomas

AIM Awards Access to HE qualifications

Aspire  based in Exeter has worked closely with AIM for a number of years.

"We at Aspire have always found AIM to be friendly, supportive and professional in their approach to us as a centre and to our students. As quite a small provider, we have found AIM to be flexible in their approach, understanding of our challenges and adaptable to our needs. We look forward to continuing our work with them over the coming years, ensuring that we continue to maintain the quality of our provision and services to the students who enrol on our courses; those who aspire to improving their lives through education."

One such student is Rachel Grubb, who enrolled on the Health Professions Access to Higher Education Diploma with Aspire and completed her diploma in the summer of 2017. Rachel is now enrolled on an undergraduate degree in Children’s nursing at the University of South Wales. When asked recently if the Aspire Access course prepared her for university, Rachael stated that she had remembered being nervous at the start of the course but as she progressed through the units, she began to feel more confident and that she had the ability to achieve her goals: “I had no idea when it came to Research and Referencing, but now I don’t even think about it, it comes naturally when writing assignments.” Furthermore, “The chance to learn these skills during the course was invaluable and meant that I had a good foundation when beginning assignments at university”.
