Join the AIM counselling community and work collaboratively to support your learners to take their next step into an extraordinary profession.

The Counselling Forum on Tuesday 10th December is the first in a series of events and aims to support you as a centre, as we navigate our way through the academic year.

The sessions have been created to develop a community of counselling centres, that can meet and find solutions to the challenges experienced when managing their counselling provision and supporting learners.

Sessions will focus on best practice and processes, alongside identifying pragmatic solutions to developing trends. There will be opportunities for you to discuss topics of interest and propose other focused areas of discussion to support the development of these sessions going forward into the next academic year.

The agenda will include:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Why the Counselling Best Practice Forum?
  • Updates and important dates for the diary
  • EQA process
  • Staff, IV and management requirements
  • Spot Checks
  • EAR process – advice and guidance
  • Broadening Learners knowledge of processes
  • Recruitment processes
  • Counselling FAQs development and launch date
  • Next session topics and agenda
  • Q & A
