Congratulations to all learners achieving their Access to HE Diploma with AIM. Here’s what you need to know going forward:

  • Results Uploaded: If your results were verified in June or July 2024, they are now live on the UCAS website
  • University Updates: Universities will now check if you’ve met your offer. Confirmation times may vary, so keep an eye on the UCAS Hub for updates!
  • Next Steps: Once confirmed, your university will guide you on what to do next.

Further guidance for learners

The results are in! – what happens next?

If your results were verified at a Final Award Board in June or July 2024, then your Access to HE Diploma results were successfully uploaded to UCAS on the 23rd July 2024. UCAS distributes these results to the individual universities, which will check if you have met your offer requirements. Each institution may confirm at different times, so don’t worry if they have not confirmed yet. Continue to check your UCAS Hub account for updates. Once confirmed, the university will inform you of the next steps.

How will I receive my certificate?

After the Final Awards Boards in June and July, your certificates were sent directly to your centre for distribution. They will use the contact details that they hold for you on their system. Please ensure that your centre has the most up to date contact information for you. If you have not yet received your certificate and are concerned, please get in touch with your centre.

If you have completed the full Access to HE Diploma, you will receive a certificate confirming this achievement, along with a unit transcript listing each unit you have achieved and the corresponding grade.

I have received my certificate and there is an error, what do I do?

If you identify an error on your certificate, please contact your centre. They will investigate and provide evidence to us for any corrections.

How do I appeal or make a complaint?

Your centre’s complaints and appeals policies may have been provided during your induction, in your course handbook or are available on the centre’s website. If you wish to appeal or make a complaint, follow your centre’s appeals or complaints processes first. If you are still unhappy with the outcome after completing this process, follow our Enquiries and Appeals policy or Compliments, complaints and whistleblowing policy, available on the Policies and Procedure page of our website.

Not met your offer?

If you haven’t met your offer, it’s worth contacting your chosen university as they might review their initial offer or offer you a place on an alternative course. You can also enter Clearing to find an alternative course or institution. For details on the Clearing process, visit the UCAS website or your UCAS Hub account. Clearing is open and further information can be found here.

How many UCAS points do I have?

Use the UCAS tariff calculator to find out your UCAS points by selecting Access to HE Diploma as the qualification and entering the number of pass, merit and distinction credits you have been awarded. For example Distinction 30, Merit 15, Pass 0 equates to 128 tariff points. Note that a total of 45 credits must be added for the tariff to be calculated. Not all institutions use tariff points for the Access to HE Diploma and may instead specify the required number of credits at each grade eg 45 credits at merit grade.

I need a replacement certificate, what do I need to do?

If you require a replacement certificate, complete a replacement certificate request form available here.
