Meet Gina Our Keynote Speaker for our 2016 Conference

Gina Jackson started her career in the videogames industry back in 1992, working in production on a wide variety of games for different developers and publishers, including Ocean Software.
In 2000, she joined Nokia as Business Development Manager, an early pioneer in mobile games before moving to developer Kuju Entertainment in 2002, where she was responsible for signing major console publishing deals with Nintendo and Konami.
In 2004, Gina took up the position of Head of Business Development, New Media at leading games publisher Eidos, where she was responsible for developing new digital distribution channels and new mobile games including the award-winning Tomb Raider and Championship Manager mobile products.
In 2011 Gina set up her own consultancy Blushing Blue. Passionate about education and diversity, she took on roles including Chief Executive of Women in Games Jobs and leading Creative Skillset’s Skills Investment Fund for games. She was part of the bid team and subsequently became the Managing Director at NextGen Skills Academy, a position that Gina has held since September 2014. NextGen Skills Academy is a government and employer invested organisation working closely with the games, animation and VFX sectors to develop qualifications, apprenticeships and short courses that will ensure these creative businesses have the necessary skilled staff to grow and be successful.
Gina is also a Visiting Professor in Games Industry and Business at Norwich University of the Arts and including in both the top 30 Women in Games and the top 100 most influential people working in the British video games industry.
