Teesside Mind

Teesside Mind help almost 20,000 local people to manage their mental health and emotional wellbeing, every year.

Through listening, advice and support they aid the one in four of us that experience a mental health problem helping people get back on track, build confidence and self-esteem and tackle mental health issues.

They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem in Teesside gets the help and respect they deserve.

Working with AIM’s Bespoke accreditation they deliver a bespoke course on setting up and facilitating Peer Support Groups, with AIM providing verification and accreditation on the course.

Martyn Prouse,  Peer Support and Volunteer Coordinator from Teesside Mind had this to say about working with AIM:

"As a local mental provider we offer a range of services and interventions to help support people in our community. This course helps people who are looking to learn to use their lived experience of mental health issues to support others and want to develop the skills and confidence to do this. We are able to offer this course to around 40 learners a year, all who have previously accessed our services and support. The bespoke qualification has allowed us to develop course modules which meet the aims and objectives of our course and meet the needs of our learners.

The staff at Aim have been very supportive of helping us to setup our procedures around enrolling learners, assessing portfolios and collecting course evidence. Whenever we have needed to ask a question or help with any part of the process the team are only a telephone call or email away and are always happy to help."
