Our EPA for the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard aims to assess the apprentice to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) applicable to all sectors.
 

What is a Business Administrator?

A Business Administrator is an individual within an organisation who completes various tasks to ensure the business operates effectively. The role can be applied to organisations of all sizes across almost all sectors, with some business administrators operating alone, whilst others are part of larger teams.
 

What does a business administrator apprentice do?

During the apprenticeship, a business administrator apprentice will assist in implementing, maintaining, and improving general business practices. Developing skills and behaviours to support their progression towards management responsibilities. Tasks completed by a business administrator may include: 

  • Communicating with internal and external contacts
  • Following up on business communications, placing orders and managing and tracking business expenditures.
  • Informing clients about products and services
  • Organising employee travel logistics
  • Preparing documents 
  • Improve general business operations
