Qualifications Assessment Manager


Hours per week: 37 (Full-time)

Location: Hybrid home/office working (2-3 days per week at the Derby office)

Salary: £30,000-£35,400

To keep AIM at the forefront of vocational education provision, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual into our Qualifications Team.  Reporting to the Qualification Integrity Manager, the Qualifications Assessment Manager is responsible for the design, planning, coordination and delivery of external assessments across AIM's qualification portfolio. This role ensures that AIM develops assessments of high quality and validity, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and support learners to progress to further or higher education or employment. The Qualifications Assessment Manager role operates within a challenging external environment that is heavily regulated and requires a high level of technical/specialist skills, excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and people skills.


You will have plenty of experience of working in the qualification development/management field, whether through an awarding organisation, working in an FE college, training provider or sector professional/skills body.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills and use these to share your knowledge and experience with the wider AIM team.  Through this experience, you will understand how regulation and compliance underpins the work we do.  Most importantly, you will believe in doing things properly as our mantra is ‘assessment with integrity’.
