Dean Jones - IfATE
Dean is a Relationship Manager working for IfATE. He works with employers and wider stakeholders supporting them to develop, monitor and update apprenticeships. He currently has a portfolio of around 50 apprenticeships and half of these are in the creative and design route and are predominantly in the areas of media, broadcasting and visual effects
He has experience working with employers across a diverse range of apprenticeships in the creative, design, agriculture and legal and finance sectors.
He has a passion for apprenticeships. Having left school at 16, he completed an engineering apprenticeship and was sponsored to study up to degree level.
He worked in the private sector for over a decade and held a number of positions from design and production planning through to works management. He also worked for a training provider before joining the civil service in 2003.
Jeremy Barlow - ESFA
Jeremy is a Senior Manager, Apprentice Assessment at ESFA.
At the ESFA Jeremy leads on managing the register of end point assessment organisations (EPAOs) ensuring capacity and coverage across over 600 apprenticeship standards. He joined the ESFA two years ago and prior to that, held senior roles for a number of years at a large professional body that is also an awarding organisation and a leading end-point assessment organisation. His roles there encompassed leading on education, skills and professional competence standards.
